Kionix Evaluates Supply Chain to Ensure Continuity of Service
Kionix is in the process of evaluating its supply chain – suppliers and sub-suppliers – to determine if there is any risk to supply as a result of the devastation in Japan. Our immediate suppliers are not directly affected by the disaster. However, we have identified some sub-suppliers who may have been affected. At this time, it is too early to know what, if any, impact may arise from these sub-suppliers. In those cases where a risk has been identified, we are evaluating the ability to source that material, or an equivalent, from another supplier.
At the present time, Kionix, and its immediate suppliers, have sufficient inventory of product and raw materials to support our delivery commitments for several months. We will update the sales team as we get more specific information as to problems with our suppliers, if any, and what actions we are taking to ensure continuity of supply.
